Baby sweetness in this cute shoe, has been given a new life and purpose. It's wonderful to think that some beautiful and Innocent child once walked in this shoe. It warms my heart and makes me smile. It's a happy day.
Believe me when I say that I am trying very hard to learn to paint my own roses, but it's not coming easy to me. I have lots of respect for those that have mastered this art, but somehow I was not born with the painting gene....not at all. Therefore, pretty rose decals will have to suffice.
Carol from the Polka Dot Closet has a tutorial on how to make your own decals and I might have to give that a try until I finally master my own roses. I will not give up, that is for sure. Until then, I think the decals are beautiful and they do just what I want them too.
So cute for a new born or simply setting on a shelf in a special place.
The same can be said for this petite set of glass shakers. Re-purposed into a cottage, shabby and very chic display for any home. Great for gifts too.
If you like to go to the flea markets or garage sales, keep in mind all the sweetness that you can create by thinking "outside the box."
These pretties and more can be found on my website, Someplace In Thyme.
The baby shoe is so very precious! I love little shoes anyway...and you've created something more beautiful! I have a Christmas stocking that I treasure...and I think YOU made it! It has pink cottage style roses! It's very dear to me! ♥
ReplyDeleteHi Char, I am taking a little me time tonight to catch up with some of my friends here in blogland. I like you have been busy making things to get ready for the holiday season. Toward the end of the month I will no longer have to share my computer. Our son found a job in New Orleans. He starts the 31st of the month. He has been laid off since December. I love you baby shoe. It is so pretty and I like your decorations. Hope you have a wonderful day. Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you if only I could paint roses! I just don't have that gift! You shoes are fabulous and I love your salt shakers, I make some snowmen salt shakers for the holidays, but as I find them though out the year this is a great idea

Sweet baby shoe! I actually have one of those shakers and use it to add cinnamon to my cappuccino! Have a great week!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Char, these are purely gorgeous!!! The baby shoe is precious and the salt and pepper shakers are totally darling too. WOW! Someone told me once that crafters can also use salt and pepper shakers for glitter too...Wouldn't these also look adorable in a studio to use for glitter?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for coming by to visit this morning...As you can imagine, I am so excited about the book--I've already gotten emails about people's own angel occurences in their lives--it's amazing.
Happy Pink Saturday!

I so love the baby shoe. It would make a great addition to a mantel or even an infants shelf in their room.
